DIRECTIONS TO THE OFFICE
We are located in Digital's (DEC) former headquarters, which is also where they started out many years ago. We are a few floors above Ken Olson's former office, and it is still a very funky place.
It amazes us how much was developed here - the first mini-computers, some of the first computer networks, real time operating systems, computer clustering, and many other advances in computer technology. As for the directions, below are two options from the airport. Apologies in advance that they are not simpler, but after all, this is Boston!

Storrow Drive and Rt 2: This option is probably the fastest, but is a bit trickier to use because you have to go through Cambridge on former cow paths. (Kidding, of course!)
- As you exit Logan Airport, take the Callahan/Sumner Tunnel towards Boston.
- At the end of the Tunnel, take the ramp up to the right - North on the Expressway.
- Take the second exit - "Storrow Drive".
- There is a tricky fork in about 1/2 mile - take the LEFT FORK to stay on Storrow Drive.
- Continue on Storrow Dr. - stay along the Charles River - for about 7 miles. You will pass Beacon Hill, Boston Univ and the Harvard Business School on your left. MIT and Harvard will be on the other side of the river on your right. You can't miss MIT's Dome.
- Shortly after you pass the Harvard Business school and the Harvard playing fields and stadium on your left, you will cross a bridge - take an immediate RIGHT and follow signs for RT 2, Fresh Pond Parkway.
- Stay on Fresh Pond Parkway and follow signs for RT 2. You will cross a set of lights at Huron Ave and then come to a rotary.
- Continue around the rotary and you will come to a second rotary. Take your first right exit off this rotary. Continue to follow what few signs there are for RT 2.
- Cross over the bridge and when you go past the "T" station, veer to the left, to go onto RT 2 West.
- If you are from L.A., you might think that RT 2 is the start of a real freeway. You would be wrong. Its a nice road until you reach RT 128, but then becomes a simple four lane road. Cross over 128 and continue past the first stop light.
- At the second stop light at the bottom of a hill, take the left turn to continue on RT 2.
- Go three more lights and take a left turn on RT 62 West, also called Main St.
- At the second set of lights veer to the left to continue on RT 62 to Maynard.
- Continue on RT 62 to Maynard.
- Continue on RT 62 into Maynard. At the Jiffy Lube and Gas station, RT 62 takes a RIGHT TURN.
- Continue on RT 62. It then veers to the left and takes a left turn at the second light.
- At the end of the block RT 62 goes to the right.
- Clock Tower Place - Digital's former headquarters - will be on your left.
- Go just past the buildings and turn into the driveway on your left.
- Go past the unattended guardhouse, and take a sharp left turn down the ramp.
- Park in this lot. We are in the main building (now called Building 2) to the right of the parking lot, as you face Main Street.
Belarc is located in Building 2, Suite 520.

Mass Pike Option:
There is another option, taking the Mass Turnpike from Logan Airport, as follows:
- As before take the Callahan/Sumner Tunnel to Boston as you exit the airport.
- At the end of the Tunnel take an immediate right. Do not take the ramp to the Expressway.
- Follow the signs to Expressway South/Mass Pike. These will take you left under the Expressway and up the ramp on the other side.
- Take the Expressway South for about 3 miles into a tunnel/underpass. Inside the tunnel look for a sign for the Mass Turnpike and take it to the right.
- Continue on the Mass Pike to RT 128.
- Take RT 128 North.
- Take the RT 20 exit (probably the second exit from the Turnpike).
- After you take the exit stay to the right toward Waltham. Do not take RT 20.
- At the first set of traffic lights take a sharp left.
- At the bottom of the hill, take a left onto RT 117 and go over RT 128.
- You will continue on RT 117 all the way into Maynard. Its fairly straight and almost clearly marked.
- You will pass a fire station near Dakin Rd. Continue on RT 117.
- About 2 miles further there will be a fork in the road with RT 117 continuing on the left fork. Take the right fork, Waltham Street. If you miss this fork you will see RT 27 at some playing fields (Parker St.). You can also take that right to Waltham St.
- At the next traffic light continue straight over the bridge to RT 62. Unless you come from Parker St, in which case you take a left onto RT 62.
- Continue on RT 62. It veers to the left and takes a left turn at the second light.
